Anime Central 2017 was a rollercoaster of emotions. As always, it is by far my favorite convention and it always falls on my birthday and is my home con; but this year was tough. With everything going on in my personal life, it was really hard to be there alone. Luckily I have great friends to help get me through the tough times and laugh tremendously through the best times <3

Arriving on Thursday, I had a great Day 0 with Jennifer and Andrew Data. We got to catch up, unpack and enjoy a night in which we ACTUALLY got to sleep lol I also had a lovely dinner at Mitsuwa with Ross :)

Day 1 started tough. Usually I'm waking up at the break of dawn, jumping on the bed yelling ACEN TIME ACEN TIME ACEN TIME. But this year, there was no one special to get excited with, so my day started a little sluggish and down. But, nothing a little makeup and school girl uniform can't fix XD I ran around the con floor enjoying shopping with Jen and met up with Thao and Jenna for some silliness before heading to the Soap Bubble Gogo Dancer meeting and got to reconnect and meet all the amazing dancers :D Then it was LEAFA time!! Leafa is still one of my all time favorite cosplays and getting to dress up as her and drink a hefty amount of vodka helped start the afternoon right~ With my Leafa mentality (I was once again the ONLY Leafa at the convention!), I hit the con floor again and met up with Chad who kept me company for the rest of the night~ We did a ton of shopping, cosplay gatherings and running around ^_^ The night finished in my awesome light-up Sai, Good Smile Racer Vocaloid outfit. Myself, Chad, Jenna, Thao, Emily Yoko, and Danielle danced the night away at Synergy~

It was a late night and after trying to hit up a few room parties, my sads came back and I decided to call it a night. Once again, it was hard to realize I was going back alone and had no one to share my fun evening with but the night was fun with all my friends and I need to appreciate that more than anything I don't have.

Day 2 started groggy lol, it was a long first day with a lot of emotions but Day 2 was the day I was really looking forward to. Day 2 was the day I got to debut (for the 2nd time) YANG from RWBY! I absolutely love my Yang outfit, so much work went into it and it is once of my favorite looks, especially now that Shane Finn let me BUY her weapons from her :D Those things were sick and really made my Yang stand out from the others~ Thank you SHANE <3 <3 From there I continued running around the con floor and had another AMAZING photoshoot with Matthew Sperzel Photography! I can't wait to see what he captured of my Yang <3

After that, the best thing ever happened... Paige MET UP WITH ME AT ANIME CENTRAL! This is one of my best friends from high school that I would have never thought in a million years would join me at an Anime Convention!! Having her by my side the rest of the evening made it one of the best con experiences ever :D We went to a cosplay gathering, did a ton of shopping with Kenneth and Hawaii and eventually had a very delicious dinner in which we drank long islands and caught up on everything <3

Then it was time for SOAP BUBBLE! I was one selected as one of the official gogo dancers for Soap Bubble and could not be more ecstatic about dancing on that stage for the 3rd year in a row! I donned my Alisa cosplay (which I sadly didn't get a single full body picture of :'( ) and met up with the other dancers for the night: Jenna, Emily Yoko, Danielle, Shane Finn, Sheng, Ali, Jessica Lynn, Crystal, Jennife & Maggie.

This year I was so incredibly stoked and excited for the AMAZING music and DJs :D Soap Bubble is really stepping up their game and I danced my heart out with every set (we all danced for 10 min, every hour from 10pm-4am). I can happily say that I definitely lost some weight just from dancing and have worked muscles I haven't used in a long time~

This weekend was up and down but the highs were incredibly high and outweighed any sadness from my own mind. It's the power within ourselves that makes an event truly special and the loved ones we surround ourselves with. Thank you everyone I saw and hung out with at Anime Central, even if it was only for a few seconds, you made the weekend worth it~ Thank you Soap Bubble and all the hardwork you put into this AMAZING show ( John & Scott) and thank you Anime Central for being the best convention that always makes me smile <3
