GoGo Outfits can either be ridiculously complicated or super easy and thrown together, so for my gogo outfits I'm going to have blog posts for desciptions about them :)

Last Saturday was the Hard Dance Minnesota show: Keeping The Rave Alive! It was an "old skool" throwback of Happy Hardcore and I must say I was super excited to dance for it seeing that it felt like a LIFETIME since the last time I danced (even though it was only a month lol).

For Hard Dance I always get to dance with the Bass Kandi girls, which is the gogo troupe I'm a part of for local EDM shows. We are known as "Minnesota's Hardest Dancers" because we dance almost exclusively with Hard Dance Nation (but have started to branch out as a team). This outfit was a fun one as it was a tribute to the old raver while making sure we could still dance accordingly on stage. We first threw around the ideas of kikwear pants, kikwear skirts, phatpants, etc. But with work on the outfit we went a bit more moderm and clean-cut but still very happy rave girl! This was a pretty simple outfit, the hardest part was that I only had a week to work on it and I was lazy and wanted to use amazon instead of leaving the house XD but luckily it all got to me in time (Amazon Prime is the best!!)

The base components for this outfit (things each Bass Kandi girl must wear) were the light up heart shirts & rainbow socks.

Myself and a few other girls decided to wear visors for that 90's feel, and I bought mine from kikgirl :D

For the shirt, I ordered a black crop halter top from amazon and cut the bottom part for a for fitting crop top. Then I headed over to my BK sister, Willow's, to pick up the light-up heart panel. Attaching it to the shirt was pretty easy since it came with velcro, but some of the other BK girls mentioned that it slip down while practice dancing, so I sewed the velcro onto the shirt for safety measures. Then I cut a little slit underneath the heart to stick the wires and eletrical shenanigans through so it could attach to my bra. Then I added the high waisted shorts from Charlotte Russe, slid on the rainbow thigh highs and my black camel 311 Demonia boots. All I added from there was some cute kandi bracelets and visor stickers :D Easy peasy~ This was the first night I got to debut my newest set of synthetic dreads from Peacock Dreams and I chose to throw them into cute "sailor moon" buns! They were super fun and quite the hit at the show :D I originally thought the show was going to be SUPER empty, especially with it being at the Skyway Theater (a great venue, but HUGE! and Hard Dance shows aren't know to be too big), but man was I wrong! There were tons of people and it felt so amazing getting to dance in front of such a huge crowd~ It had been a while since I had danced to real hardstyle music so I got tired fast but the music was so great and the crowd was banging, so I hardly even noticed~ It was a great night, full of tons of fun people, a dance contest and killer music <3
