"Luca was a impromptu cosplay when I finished a different one early and realized I still had time before the convention to make another. This was the fastest I have ever made a cosplay and I'm very proud of how well it came out with all the stress it ensued~"
"Creating the Chinese style dress and Kimono sleeves were definitely the highlight of this cosplay. I chose to work with a more detailed fabric than the original character and I feel that really made the dress and sleeves stand out. The kimono sleeves were a puzzle within themselves; I felt like a magician pulling fabric out of odd corners and doing strange twists and turns but somehow I managed kimono sleeves XD I had never done sewing in which I was putting fabric on top of fabric to create a pattern and with this cosplay I had to do that 6 times!"
"This cosplay also required my first work with worbla, which I used in both hair ornaments and the arm gauntlets. It was super fun to work with and I hope I continue learning it so that one day I can make armor~"
"What really stuck with me with this cosplay was all the intense brainstorming and problem solving I had to do: with worbla, with making the shoes look believable but still safe to walk in, how to keep the ribbons on my legs, and the sting ropes to mimic the clasps on the dress. My notes for this cosplay were full of scratches out ideas and circled lightbulb moments XD"
"My absolute favorite thing about this cosplay is the amount of detail I was required to put in and that I was able to do it in such a small amount of time~"
